    GRRRR PT 2

Well, I'm still not satisfied with this new look.  This is the biggest change to date, it will definately take some time to get used to.  The music plays off and on.  The spaces take to long to load.  The "statistics" dont work.  Buttons aren't in their usual place.  That crazy ad is up on top.  It took me a long time to find the new "save" button, its now a floppy disk icon.  The new "friends" thing is a ripoff from Myspace, lets just hope MSN space doesnt turn into that teeny bopper site.

Wow, that rant took quite a few brain cells, and its a Thursday, my non-blogging day.  I'll end this with a cut & paste from the paper.  I asked Yu Yi and 2 other people from China about it, and none of them heard a thing about it. There is alot of censorship in China, and I think this is one thing they kept from the public.

A county in southwest China has ordered all 50,546 dogs to be killed in an effort to fight a rabies outbreak that has caused the deaths of three people, state media has said.

Around 90 percent of the dogs in Muding county, Yunnan province, had already been killed since the campaign began on July 25, the Beijing News said.

Owners were ordered to kill their pets or face having teams of local police and other enforcement officers kill them, it said.

Even the 4,292 dogs in the county that had been immunized against rabies were ordered put to death, as authorities said the immunizations were not 100 percent effective, the report said.

From January through July, 360 people in the county had been bitten by dogs, with the three human deaths occurring since April, the Beijing Times said.

Some owners have used methods including hanging their dogs, electrocuting them and clubbing them to death, while others used drugs, the Beijing News said.

Dog owwners had been compensated five yuan (60 cents) each for the loss of their pets.

A reporter for the Beijing News who visited the county said one woman was told by dog-elimination squads patrolling the streets that her dog had to be killed. She covered her eyes as the patrollers beat her dog to death.

To prevent dog owners from violating the order, roadside checkpoints had been set up to inspect vehicles for dogs, the Beijing News said. Any dogs found were immediately killed at the scene.

Only police dogs and canines used to guard military artillery warehouses were spared.

China has laws banning harm to endangered animals. But there are no regulations protecting other animals, including pets.

A small but growing number of animal activists and pet owners in China are pushing to build a humane society and legislate animal protection, but those efforts are usually only in big cities.

I'm stumped, maybe someone in blog land has an answer for me.   I guess my music IS playing, but the only person who cant hear it is ME.   In fact, I cant hear anyones music.  My WMP works fine on music on my harddrive, it just doesnt work in spaces.

THANK GOD it's not just me!!! This new format of MSN is killing me - it's like going back to dail up again, and I have a cable connection!  AARGH!  The load time is LONG and slow - not someting that is fun.  King - are you going to let the MSN subjects know they've created havoc in this great land of yours?!?!

Ah well - at least I don't have AZ weather in NY anymore - and they've caught the 2 suspects in AZ.  Here's hoping that MSN can set the blog world right again.

I dont know what you did when you did that restore, but I bet that is a cause of your issues.  Try reloading the new Explorer and see if that fixes it.  Make sure you uninstall first to make sure all the corrupted files are removed.
Glad to see that China is at least depleating some of its population, even though they are starting with dogs.  So if the epidemic starts going rapid with humans, will they also result in the goon squad to do the clubing to death.  Just kidding, I dont want to start any trouble......
Boy ever since you left for Wisconsin, the weather has been great.  I wonder if that means anything.  Hmmmmmmm?
Have fun in brat land and dont forget to clean up after the dog,  he knows what you are doing at all times.  He sneaks around and gets on your computer when you dont know it.  I suggest you show him the club and read him the rabies story.  That should straighten that weinner dog out......
Oh, I hear your music and when I go to my dusty site, I can hear mine as well.

    Hi KT,

It is my understanding that in oredr for those to hear your musivc..they must also have an MSN passport?? I may be wrong, but that is my understanding. In other words, I can hear everyone's music that ia a MSN sunscriber..Make sense?

Hell, what do I know?? ( inserts the rolling eyes icon here ).

Here is my gripe.....I get home from work, go to email..and lo and begold, I had several "INVITES" for the Live Griends thing, Now I dont mind that at all, however, I am UNSURE how that works, so for now, I will reasearch and see what the hell all of that's about. I do not wish to add that to my Space, and am assuming if I do, indeed, accept their invite to plaster my face on their space, that would automatically add this to mine as well. I just do NOT understand all of this yet. Oh well..

Hope this finds you having a great day, otherwise! LOL.

That is sad about the dogs and I don't do the music on my space...It is very slow to open and my traffic has dropped greatly.  I can't chech stats either but i think they are still working on it.  I got the ad off my space.  I am a MSN premium member and there is a place you can click to turn off the ads....Later...

    Hey KT,
Thats the most annoying thing about these changes, they never work right. I doubt we'll ever stop complaing unless the wizards at msn could actually make changes that worked. right? the first time! My computer was still screwed up after all that spyware and I still can't change my task bar and start button back to windows xp look. It looks like the old windows 98 now. ugggg!! humm, I wonder if this has something to do with it?? Speaking of your music not being heard do you see the bars on your wmp moving? You could try reducing it down and clearing the music file loaded into it and then reloading it again. I had to do that once when spaces messed up the first time.

Hi K.T.!   Thanks for stopping by :)  I used to have a blog but then with work, etc., I took a break - now back with a new space, something new to play with.  Yes, Spanish Banks is just outside of Vancouver.  That's Vancouver in the background.  We have lots of beaches all around the city.  Not as beautiful sand as you have on many of your American beaches, but it's still great fun up here.  Temperatures have been hot, albeit kinda cool this past week in this area.

Hi there.  I'm a friend of Wendy's, and I thought I'd pay you a visit.  I like your space!  Regarding the dogs being put down -- I'm a dog lover, and I thank God I live here in North America.  I'm just north of you  in the great white north!  :)

    Hi Tom,

I'm not hearing your music this morning.  But at least your site opened just fine.  I have other sites bookmarked and when I try to open them, they don't.  I get directed to that stupid msn page that says everyone is welcome...welcome to what?  I want to see to see the site I'm looking for, not 30 comments all written in languages I can't read...oh, but with your daily tutorial of chinese, some day I just might be able too...thank you for that.

Ok, I'll stop complaining and maybe actually get some work done today.   All's I managed to do yesterday at work since I couldn't read my favorite blogs, was to look up old boyfriends names on google!  I love my job!

This just gets worse every day!!!!  Wish they could have just left well enough alone!  We were happy - the complaining had stopped - what the hell did they have to go and mess everything up for?  A-holes!!!!

    Have fun~

    Hello King,
My sentiments exactly on the new changes... grrrrrr..... Hey, that was just awful to read about the dogs and what is going on there.  Seems if they have to do this they could at least do it in a more human way.  My son spent time in Thailand... and there are so many dogs running around free and full of diseases.. they don't even look like dogs.. really a terribe situation.  I heard your music fine.  I guess some people can hear mine and others can't.. just frustrating... Hope the day goes well.. Vallerie

Sorry, but I always turn the music off.....on everyone's space. Case and point....I open up many spaces at once....and let them load while I do things at work....so when a client hears "Hillbillies Like Doin' it in the Hay!" in the middle of a serious conversation about heartworms...OMG!!
     I can't help you there.

I hope you are having a good visit you haven't said much about it.
