Test

Except for some discomfort when they shoved a tube up my nose and down my throat, the test went well. My esophagus is strong enough to follow thru with my hiatal hernia surgery.

Now I have to schedule surgery, working around my Las Vegas trip in Sept and my Fla trip in Nov.

You've heard of someone losing his shirt while gambling? That's the idea behind - drum roll, please - the World Series of Strip Poker.

Sponsored by Pokerbility.com, the event - tentatively set for February in Las Vegas - would pit finalists from the World Series of Poker against Playboy Playmates. The Pokerbility people say their software, which is supposed to aid players in making decisions while engaged in games, will enable the Playmates to emerge clothed.

Colleen Marie, Miss August 2003, said in a news release: "At the end of the day I will be the only one still wearing my clothes."

With $500,000 planned to be in the pot, she said: "Mark my words, it will be the most money I ever make for keeping my clothes on."

(If she wins some of that money, maybe she also could buy herself a last name.)

I'll be on a 6 am flight to Buffalo today. Have a great weekend and I'll see everyone next week.
