    Gas

I saw an article in the paper that said the gas prices  could climb to an average of $3.50 this summer.  I've been meaning to make a rule to help out with this gas problem, so there is no better time than the present.  This law may not help with the price of gas, but it will lead to a bigger supply.
IIWK.... Automakers are no longer able to make vehicles that get less than 20 mpg, city driving.  YES, we have a few exceptions such as buses, RV's and commercial vehicles.

I was sent an email about the price of prescription drugs, in particular, generic drugs.  In a nutshell, it says to check out Costco, because their prices are the cheapest around.  You can actually go to their website and check out some prices, which I did.  For example, I have a $15 copay for my generic cholesterol drug Gemfibrozil, 30 pills.   I can buy 100 pills at Costco for $22.89, no health insurance used.

    JURY GONE WILD!!!

ROANOKE, Va. - A jury has awarded $2 million to a couple whose 4-year-old son died after being run over by a riding lawn mower at his day-care center.  The Roanoke Circuit Court jury on Wednesday found the mower's manufacturer liable for the 2004 death of Justin Simmons. MTD Products Corp. of Cleveland plans to appeal.  "I find it incredulous that a jury no longer cares about common sense and personal responsibility," company attorney John Fitzpatrick said.  The jury held MTD responsible for not designing a mower that stops its blades whenever it rolls backward. No such mower exists or has ever been tested, Fitzpatrick said.
Jurors awarded $500,000 each to Justin's parents, Ron and Kristie Simmons, and $1 million to his brother, Josh, 3.  Day-care provider Roberta Reedy, who had been watching Justin, his brother and two other children, was inside changing a diaper when the accident happened, authorities said. The company argued that her husband, Orvil, had ignored safety warnings. Justin's family is seeking an out-of-court deal with the Reedys.
I certainly agree with the companies lawyer, the party responsible should be the day care center.

Twelve priests were about to be ordained. The final test was for them to line up in a straight row, totally nude, in a garden while a sexy, beautiful, big breasted, nude model danced before them. Each priest had a small bell attached to his weenie and they were told that anyone whose bell rang when she danced in front of them would not be ordained because he had not reached a state of spiritual purity. The beautiful model danced before the first candidate, with no reaction. She proceeded down the line with the same response from all the priests until she got to the final priest, Carlos.
Poor Carlos. As she danced, his bell began to ring so loudly that it flew off, clattering across the ground and laid to rest in nearby foliage.
Embarrassed, Carlos quickly scrambled to where the bell came to rest. He bent over to pick it up...
Then all the other bells started to ring.

I spent a good deal of my day today in my Hua Yuan :-).........something I very much enjoy!  Oh my goodness........I thought I was melting in the heat we are having here, but it's nothing compared to what you're trying to endure.  If we have a nice breeze I'll try to send it your way!

So sad about that little boy and his family. No one should have to bury their child! I think the jury missed the mark there too. Maybe the mower company will appeal.

I downloaded EI 7 so I hope that solves my problems. Not sure if I like it though. I'm sure my husband will be totally confused again...lol Poor baby. That's why I usually hold off on stuff like that.

This reminds me of something that happened to T although he wasn't hurt.  When he was about two, Sperm Donor had some dumb friend watch him while SD was at work.  This lady had four kids of her own plus a couple of neighbor kids over.  Well, T being two walked right out of the yard down the street about 10 blocks and was picked up by the local police in the middle of an intersection.  A friend who happened to drive by recognized T and the police called me.  They estimated he had been gone for about an hour plus almost another hour with me while I tried to find out who the heck was keeping him.  I drove over there walked up to the door and told them I wanted to pick up T, they were like oh he's downstairs.  So I stood there waiting, they came back all scared--he's gone.  No freakin sh*& he's been gone two hours!!!  I was ticked and yet I wasn't able to do anything about it.  I couldn't sue her or anything my lawyer said because T wasn't hurt-- freakin stupid!  Anyways, bad trip down memory lane....hope you don't melt down there! LOL

    Hello King,
I should have saw that joke coming... hahah..   .
I get sick of these accidents that people are awarded outrageous amounts of money.. Of course money can't replace the lost child..... I just think if it were my child it happened to....and I was awarded that money.. I would just feel like I was almost enjoying money from my child's death.  I just could not feel good about that.
Hope you cool off a little there.. take care... Vallerie
