Happy "back to work after a fun 4th" day.

The monsoon has officially arrived.

Weather officials calculate the start of the monsoon when the daily dew-point average is 55 degrees for 3 consecutive days. Then they dub the first(7/2) of those 3 days as the debut of the season. We can now expect huge thunderstorms, lightning, wind, and blowing dust.

Speaking of our weather, this past June was the hottest ever recorded. We had a record 30, 100 degree days in June.

ESPN is getting desparate for viewers as they were televising the dominoes championships over the weekend.

Be careful when driving the freeways in Phoenix.

An elderly man driving an empty tour bus was shot three times on a busy Phoenix freeway by another driver who had his one-year-old daughter in the car with him. Police say the bus was in some type of minor collision with a small gray sedan. The driver that sedan then opened fire on the bus driver, 75-year-old Alvin David. David was shot once in the chest and twice in the face. The bullets entered the bus through the windshield. David pulled the bus over on the right side of westbound Interstate Ten and flagged down other drivers as he clutched his bleeding face. David was in critical but stable condition at a Phoenix hospital after undergoing surgery. Thirty-year-old Benjamin Burden was later arrested by Phoenix police on charges of aggravated assault and firing a gun at a moving vehicle while in a moving vehicle. Both are Class 2 felonies. Burden was being held in Madison Street Jail.

IIWK.... All ER rooms will be equipped with the magic soccer stretcher. Think about it, no more doctors or nurses, the patient will lie on the stretcher for 60 seconds, and then miraculously get up feeling fine.
